Yesterday I met with Terence Jones, RR PH, to discuss the Nokia et.al. partnership. Some joint concerns put on the table included: a) MoU signature vis-a-vis UNDP’s rules and regs and long term implications; UNDP needs to be flexible but to a point; b) role of UNDP supported Documentator as critical to assess the partnership on the ground and make specific recommendations for potential global programme; c) role of Pearson as the unqiue content provided this far and need to include others including national and regional providers; d) recruitment of the documentator and funding provided by HQ.
He also inquire about other ICT programmes as well as NetAid.
